Club launches specialist goalkeeping programme

HYFC is delighted to be partnering with GK Icon to offer goalkeeper training
- Ali Holmes

As part of the Club's investment in coaching, HYFC is delighted to be partnering with GK Icon to offer specialist goalkeeper training for all age groups.

Specialising in professional goalkeeper training to all ages, GK Icon offers local goalkeeper academies. HYFC is partnering with GK Icon Head Coach Joel Canning to create a dedicated programme for all players and abilities from U6 through to U16.

GK Icon will run sessions on alternate weeks on Saturday mornings at Woodways and the Airfield. The sessions will run between 9-10am and 10-11am.

Sessions will start on Saturday 9th March at the Airfield with the Woodways sessions starting on 16th March.

For HYFC age groups, including many of our Girls teams, who do not train or are playing matches on Saturday mornings, an additional midweek slot currently is being identified.

If your player is interested in being part of the goalkeeper training sessions with GK Icon, please talk to your coach as places are limited and need to be booked in advance.

For more information on GK Icon, please visit their website: GK Icon.

Start dates have been changed due to frozen and waterlogged pitches.
