We’re excited to publish our Season Review with reports from every team across the Club in what could be a record-breaking year for HYFC.
With one Cup already in the cabinet, two more teams line up in Finals tomorrow (27th April) with another three youth sides to follow in a Final Five of competition climaxes.
Alex Wagstaff, Club Chairman commented:
“Trophies are far from the only success criteria in grassroots football. When you read the reports in the Season Review, you’ll hear common qualities echo throughout such as having fun, making friends, building resilience and belief in teamwork.”
The Season Review can be found below, or you can flip through at leisure here.
Season highlights include the development of PAN-Disability football, launching Chiltern Comets in partnership with fellow local clubs. Girls’ football has expanded with the addition of a fifth team, supported by the Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust.
Haddenham Ladies has a new management team in place which will work more closely with our Girls’ teams and Haddenham Veterans has joined the HYFC family. The Vets have also reached the Cup Final of the Oxfordshire Veterans Over 40s.
We have more than 450 registered players across 25 teams which is only possible through the commitment of over 70 volunteer coaches, team admins and committee members.
Alex added:
“Thank you to parents and carers who trust their children with us and to our sponsors and club partners who are investing in the development of youth football in Haddenham.”
We have set out ambitious plans to improve facilities, enhance coaching and create more special experiences.
The Club Chairman commented:
“Our plans can only be achieved by securing additional funds and, we hope, active support from more parent/carer volunteers would be hugely appreciated.”
HYFC is appealing to parents/carers and supporters to help double the surplus generated by the Festival of Football on the weekend of 30-31 August. Please let us know if you can help.
Details of the Final Five can be found here. Please come along and support our boys and girls!
