Brilliant effort and attitude from the Hawks today! ?

Another close game against a strong Penn side. The boys' energy was excellent throughout. Daniel's goal came from Gabe's quick thinking and Daniel's direct running and skill. On another day, a few more of our chances go in. Their third goal only came as we pushed for an equaliser, so there were lots of positives to take. Thanks to Hector and Alex for their shifts in goal, and to Mark for running the line. Well done to Max for his PotM performance, modelling positive communication throughout.

I wanted to clarify our approach to substitutions so far. In the first three development games, we have only made changes at half-time (unless for injury or tactical reasons). We felt multiple first-half substitutions may have been disrupting the team's rhythm and focus. Whilst this approach ensures every player receives at least 50% game time, we appreciate it can feel like a long wait for players. We'll review it after the first six development games, before the league season starts – we will always rotate it so it's different players each week.
